Set up a shop that sounds like you—right down to the receipt.
Our storefront engine hands every seller a page that loads quickly, reads clearly and behaves the way a real shop should behave. Whether this is your first listing or your nine-thousandth, the tooling stays out of the way and the page stays yours.
An open block format, a public plugin surface and a catalogue other studios can extend mean designers, developers and freelance shopkeepers can reach a very large audience of small traders through Kedgeline.

Small shops deserve big rigging.
Roughly 41 million shoppers pass through Kedgeline storefronts each month, across 163 countries, and the traders behind those storefronts are usually one or two people. Whether you cast pewter, roast beans, repair bicycles or teach knots on a Tuesday evening, there is a set of blocks shaped for it.
We keep adding tools rather than tiers. Deckhand collects orders, prints labels and answers the same four questions your buyers always ask. Ropewalk turns six months of receipts into a single readable page, so you can tell which of your listings actually pays rent. Sail Editor lets you rearrange a shop by dragging, and Rigging lets you rewrite it in code when dragging stops being enough. The Bosun API opens the whole catalogue to anyone who would rather script against it than click through it, and Autopilot quietly handles tax tables, shipping bands, refund windows and the seventeen small settings nobody enjoys touching twice.
There are a few hundred more of these, and each one is folded into the plan you already pay for.

How the whole thing got started.
Kedgeline began with three people who kept missing each other's deadlines: Ilse Maartens, Rúben Cardoso and Nadia Whitlock. They were trying to put a friend's pottery on the internet from a rented office above a chandlery, and every route they tried ended in a plugin conflict, a broken checkout, a hosting invoice nobody had budgeted for, or all three in the same afternoon. It took eleven weeks and four rewrites to sell a single mug, and by then the potter had gone back to the market stall. That eleven weeks is the reason any of this exists.
In 2011 we opened with a single shared laptop and forty-one listings. Since then the work has stayed narrow on purpose: give a small trader the same footing on the web that a large one simply buys, and then get out of the way and let them trade.
We are a crew of 1,240 stubborn, curious people.
Our workshops sit close to water on four continents and eleven countries, which is either a strategy or an accident depending on who you ask. We hire people who finish things, argue in the open and bring the dog. Rain gear provided. Want a berth?
