The enterprise licence

Halcyra issues a direct licence that takes the administration, the invoices and the legal exposure of stock music off your team's desk. You'll get:

  • Every right included in a single licence, public performance included — the cover most royalty-free libraries quietly leave out.
  • More than 38,000 cleared tracks and over 74,000 sound effects.
  • Around 90 new releases added every week.
  • Search that finds the cue: filter the whole catalogue by tempo, key, instrument and mood, then pull the stems.
  • A named licensing lead and a curator who builds playlists against your brief.

Direct licensing: past royalty-free

Halcyra owns every right to every track in the catalogue, public performance included. None of our music is registered with a performance rights organisation, which means far less paperwork and no downstream invoices. The catalogue is cleared worldwide, in perpetuity — regardless of medium, territory or type of content.

"The gap between royalty-free and PRO-free matters more than most buyers realise. Royalty-free is a pricing model, not a permission. Assuming the two are the same is how brands end up settling claims on work they already published."

— Elena Carrow, media counsel, cited by The Ledger and Mercantile Weekly

A catalogue you'd have chosen anyway

Our roster runs to 1,180 artists across a few hundred genres, including a handful of Ivory Reel laureates. They keep their masters, they keep their name on the work, and the platform pays out monthly — the median Halcyra artist earned $47,300 last year, and our top quartile cleared $186,000.

Every track arrives with stems, a loopable edit and a 15-second cutdown, so an edit that changes at 6pm doesn't need a new licence at 9pm. Around 90 releases land each week, and search covers tempo, key, instrumentation and mood.

We also commission custom scores with the same artists when a brief needs something that doesn't exist yet.

Take it from our clients:

Marisol Devries, senior film editor, Holloway
"Before Halcyra our music options mostly sounded like music from a stock library, and we'd lose days going back and forth on approvals. The catalogue is good enough now that we stopped negotiating and went back to editing."
Tobias Rennquist, global brand and communications lead, Vantara (part of Sevila)
"If you look at not just the licence cost but the work of clearing tracks market by market, and the hours our regional teams spend reporting usage to each local rights body, it adds up to a long process. One contract, paid once a year, that covers every territory has taken real cost out of how we make campaigns."
Priya Nairn, head of audio and film at The Orbis Dispatch
"The change in how our films perform has been hard to argue with — watch time is up by roughly a third and more people are finishing the piece."
Declan Ashworth, Ridgeline Barre
"We have members commenting on the class recordings and writing in to support about the playlists we build. They want to know who sings a particular track, or they want us to send them the whole playlist because they love what they're hearing. I think that says something about the quality of the music in the best possible way."

Frequently asked questions from our enterprise customers

Who qualifies for the Enterprise plan?
Any organisation publishing music under its own name across more than one channel or market — in practice that starts around 40 employees, or any team running paid media. Agencies licence on behalf of named clients under the same terms.
What makes the Halcyra licence different from other royalty-free libraries?
We own the recordings and the compositions outright, so one agreement covers both. Nothing in the catalogue is registered with a performance rights organisation, which means no second invoice arrives after your campaign runs on broadcast or in a venue.
Where does your music come from?
From 1,180 artists we commission and pay directly, recording in our studios in Lisbon, Copenhagen and Montreal or in their own. Artists keep credit and receive a monthly share of platform revenue for as long as the track stays in the catalogue.
What happens to work we've already published if we cancel?
Everything published while your licence was active stays cleared, permanently, on the channels it was published to. You just can't start new projects with the catalogue after the term ends.
What's included when we move to Enterprise?
Unlimited seats, the full catalogue with stems, sound effects, a named licensing lead, quarterly curation sessions and an indemnity that covers your published work. Custom scoring is quoted separately.
Which platforms can we publish Halcyra music on?
All of them — social video, short-form feeds, connected TV, broadcast, cinema, podcasts, in-store playlists, events, apps and games. The licence is written by use case rather than by platform, so new channels are covered as they appear.
