We're putting good work back on your street

Building a straightforward way to connect people who are ready to work with the people who need a hand.

"Good work finds you when it's simple to ask"

The Doorstep Vision

Doorstep is a community marketplace that puts people who need a job doing in touch with skilled neighbours who are ready to work and want to be paid fairly for it.

From a dripping tap to a full rebrand, Doorstep covers house cleaning, handy work, admin, photography, design — even someone to build you a website.

Open the site or the app and Doorstep will walk you from "someone should really sort that" to "that's sorted".

Doorstep. Work close to home.

Things people ask

What is Doorstep?
There's a wide spread of jobs on Doorstep — everyday things around the house like deliveries, cleaning, gardening and repairs, right through to work for businesses such as office admin, promotional runs and IT support. There's a creative side too: photography, graphic design, and website or blog help you can pick up to earn on your own hours. With the Ridgeway network now folded in, there are more vetted trades on the platform than ever.
How do I get paid?
The agreed amount is held safely the moment a job is accepted, and released to you as soon as the person who posted it marks the work complete. Payouts land in your account within two working days.
Who will I be working with?
Everyone on Doorstep has a public profile with verified identity, completed jobs and reviews left by real people. You choose who you hire, and you can read the whole history before you decide.
What does it cost?
Posting a job is free, and you only pay once you've accepted an offer. Doorstep takes a service fee from the agreed price — it starts at 14% and drops as a Doer completes more work.
Is there insurance?
Most jobs booked and paid for through Doorstep are covered by our liability policy while the work is being carried out. Some specialist trades sit outside it, and those are flagged clearly before you book.
