Northlark About

Purpose & Principles

We are rebuilding how small businesses get paid. That mission is our fixed point, and everything we ship follows from one shared aim: make moving money, selling, and buying feel steady, personal, and safe.

Our principles are the ground floor for every decision we make, in every market we serve.

What We Value

Four values shape our days: Belonging, Invention, Partnership, and Wellbeing. Held together, they keep us working as a single team across twelve time zones, with the merchants we serve at the middle of every call – and they hold us to looking after ourselves, each other, and the places we live.

Belonging

Respect what makes each person different and take their thinking seriously. We say the quiet thing out loud, at every level, whoever is in the room. Ideas get richer and the work gets sharper when nobody has to shrink to fit.

Invention

Build things merchants actually want – whether that is a corner bakery, a marketplace seller, or a developer in our community. Think from first principles, follow the whole journey end to end, and try the product the way a customer would.

Partnership

Work as one team, hold the outcome, and finish what you start. Extend trust early, keep your word, back the person next to you. Break up the silos and let the win belong to the whole group rather than one corner of it.

Wellbeing

Look after each other on purpose, not by accident. Build a workplace with enough energy in it to bring out someone's best, and enough room to keep their mental, physical, and family life intact while they do it.

Sitting alongside our values, our three Leadership Principles – People First, Start From The Customer, and Win As One – give us a shared frame for how we think, decide, and act day to day, so anyone here can help steer Northlark's next stretch of growth.

Belonging at Northlark

The people here are how the mission gets done, so we work at building a place where anyone can do their sharpest work with a clear sense of why it matters. Belonging at Northlark means a workplace where acceptance and safety are ordinary, and every colleague is counted in rather than tolerated. We are glad to have a workforce that looks like the merchants, buyers, and neighbourhoods we serve, and we keep taking concrete steps to widen that circle.

Reporting In The Open

Building a workforce that reflects the businesses, buyers, and communities we serve is central to our long-term Belonging strategy. Our representation data shows where the effort is landing and steers the programmes and benefits we put in front of employees. We have committed to reviewing our workforce disclosures every year and reporting our demographics in public, including by releasing our annual workforce filings.
