Let's make money make sense

Our mission is for every person and business to handle all things money — spending, saving, investing, borrowing, planning, and more — in a handful of taps.

Why we show up every day

Money matters are tangled. Whether it's paying a supplier overseas, holding a household budget together, or scaling a young company — most of us have felt how slow and scattered finances can be. That's the reason we exist. Solvara removes the friction sitting between you and the plans you've already made.

Better together

What we've built so far

We're building a platform so quick and so borderless that you'll never reach for another finance app. And we get there the way we always have: shipping faster, sharper, more useful products, quarter after quarter.

Chair

Helena Marchetti

Helena Marchetti co-founded Ashgrove Asset Management in 1987 and led it for 29 years, including its 2016 merger with Calder Life. Until 2021 she chaired the practitioner panel of the UK prudential regulator, and she served as deputy chair of the board of Meridian Broadcasting until 2019. Before that she was chair of Halstead Group. Helena holds an LLB from the University of Larkmount and an MA in accountancy; she qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983.

Co-founder & CEO

Marta Ivanek

Marta became fascinated by payments while working as a derivatives trader, where she watched cross-border transfers lose days and percentage points on the way. She spent six years building electronic trading desks before starting Solvara with Dario in 2016. Marta studied applied mathematics and economics, and still reviews the product roadmap line by line every Monday morning.

Co-founder & CTO

Dario Peçanha

Dario wrote his first payment gateway at nineteen, then spent a decade building settlement and risk systems for tier-one banks and travel booking platforms. Working inside those stacks convinced him that a genuinely modern banking service would have to be rebuilt from the ledger up. He holds an MSc in computer science and still reviews the core ledger's release notes himself.

Global governance

Solvara operates in line with the corporate governance, legal, and regulatory requirements of every market it serves. We choose to follow the 2018 UK Corporate Governance Code Principles inside our own framework as industry best practice, even though we are not subject to them.
