We are where music, storytelling, and engineering overlap. We care a great deal about artists and the people who back them, and our whole reason for existing is to give every story a soundtrack worth keeping.
Come for the talent you'll meet firsthand — music and tech nights in our studios, open access to the full catalogue of tracks and effects, and discounted gig tickets wherever you happen to be.
What we do and how we got hereWork-life balance matters here as much as a strong studio culture. Hours are flexible and the rooms are built for focus, collaboration, and the occasional launch party. We don't mandate five days on site — but once you've spent a week around this team, you'll want to be in the building.
Good work needs real recovery. Everyone, everywhere, gets thirty-two days of paid leave, a listening-room budget, and a yearly wellbeing allowance generous enough to spend on whatever actually resets you — a ski pass included.
We want a studio where everyone belongs. We run six employee communities, put every hiring manager through inclusive-interview training, and back it up with a global volunteering programme. Each year we invest in pairing our engineers with artists in emerging scenes and in growing an inclusive culture from the inside out.
Read more about our communitiesYour future matters to us. Parental leave runs well past the statutory minimum, salary bands are published and reviewed twice a year, and everyone past their first six months receives a share option grant. Progression is a conversation, not a mystery — so you can see the shape of the next few years while you're still enjoying this one.
It's official. According to the annual survey run by the Openfloor Institute across our global team, Tapefield is a genuinely good place to spend your working week.
The survey results show a culture with unusually high psychological safety — a place where people look after each other and still find time to have fun. Somewhere you can be yourself whoever you are, and where new joiners get met at the door rather than left to find it.

Tapefield is the catalogue behind the soundtrack — restriction-free music for anyone making something worth watching. Founded by three engineers and a session drummer, the company has spent a decade convincing the industry that licensing does not have to be a legal ordeal. Today our catalogue runs to hundreds of thousands of tracks and effects, written and recorded by working musicians who are paid every time a track is used. We operate across five studios and pay out to more than nine thousand contributing artists, and we are backed by Nordhavn Capital, Ridgeline Partners, Meridian Ventures, and the Tolvberg Foundation.
