Holds up on tempo days

February 24, 2025

Color: Chalk Citron / Ink Black / Dust Silver

I've gone through a lot of trainers over the last few seasons and this one actually lived up to the noise around it. Responsive underfoot without feeling harsh, and it handled tempo work, easy miles, and everything in between. My only asks would be a slightly thicker, gusseted tongue and marginally thicker laces so the midfoot lockdown is easier to dial in. Beyond that it's about as close to right as I've had. I wish the wider release hadn't trailed the launch drop by two months.

Best pair I've run in this year. Genuinely.

April 23, 2025

Color: Bone White / Ink Black / Bone White

I've owned a lot of road shoes and this is probably my favourite of the lot. Springy, light, and comfortable — noticeably livelier than the pair I rotated with last winter. The foam looks like it'll last too, judging by how the previous plated model held up past 400 miles. The upper was comfortable enough that I took it straight out for a half on its second run with no issues. I have a fairly wide forefoot and normally need a break-in period around the little toe; not the case here, though narrower feet may find it roomy. Outsole grip is excellent in the wet, as expected.

Brilliant for long runs, warm in summer

May 9, 2025

Color: Slate Fog / Ember Red / Bone White

Took these through a 22-mile build and my legs were in far better shape the next morning than they usually are. The heel counter is firm enough that I never felt the arch collapse late in a run, which is my usual complaint. One star off because the upper runs warm — anything above 24°C and my feet notice it. Sizing was spot on at my usual 8.5.
