Harkwell builds the research workspace product teams reach for when a decision actually matters. We are employee-owned, quietly profitable, and spread across eleven time zones. Teams use our study builder, panel manager and evidence library to turn a pile of scattered interviews into something a roadmap can stand on. Rather more than half of our customers arrived because a colleague changed jobs and brought us along. We run no outbound sales motion and have no plans to start one. Working here means writing things down, disagreeing early, and shipping in pieces small enough to reverse.

How the research group works

This group owns the parts of Harkwell people touch on their worst day — a study that will not import, a transcript that lost its timestamps, a report due in forty minutes. That gives the work an unusual weight, because our users are researchers themselves: a clumsy flow is not merely friction, it is a peer watching us fail at our own craft. We keep overlapping afternoon hours so critique happens live instead of in a comment thread.

  • We read the raw data. Nobody presents a finding they have not traced back to a transcript.
  • We prototype in the open. Half-finished work goes in the shared file on Tuesday, not once it feels safe.
  • We write the caption first. If the takeaway will not fit in one sentence, the study is not finished.
  • We hand off cleanly. Engineering gets specs with the awkward edge cases already argued out.
