Work on paper heavy enough to hold a pin. Nine panels is a comfortable rhythm: one for the work, one for the people you keep, one for the body, and so on until the sheet stops feeling empty. The middle panel belongs to you — a photograph you actually like, from an ordinary good day. Everything else arranges itself around that. Pin things loosely, and move them in March when March turns out differently. The grid is scaffolding, and you are allowed to ignore it.
