Barley drink
Barista salted
halva flavour

It turns out that folding the taste of sesame halva into our original barista barley drink is a proper hit, taste wise. We know it might read like a peculiar flavour, but that is exactly what makes it so good when you want to startle everybody with your new and improved coffee-drink mixing skills.

THE ORIGINAL HUL LO! SALTED HALVA 1L ZERO COWS HERE!

Just add coffee. Or ice. Or both.

This product can be whatever you decide it should be. The quiet ingredient of a very good halva iced coffee when you stir it through something strong and cold, or the base of a steaming hot halva barley latte when you foam it properly. How about a sesame cereal breakfast? Or drink it straight from the carton while you rewatch something on a scratched disc, for the full cinema taste experience — minus the sticky armrest.

Barleyworks

We use the whole kernel of the barley to make our drinks, which lets us keep a lot of what the grain already had and pick up the body and consistency a professional barista needs to get something tasting like hot buttered halva into a cup of coffee. As always, it is entirely plant-based and free from soy, dairy and lactose. You can keep it at room temperature for a good while before you open it, and it will still be fresh and nutty and faintly sweet.

I do not like Hullo! but I cannot explain why.

That is allowed. Taste is stubborn and nobody has ever been argued into liking something. If you ever want to put a finger on it, our inbox is open and we read every note, including the unkind ones.

How do you calculate the CO2e numbers on your packs?

We measure the climate footprint of each product from the field to the shop shelf, including the barley, the water, the factory, the pack and the lorry. An independent reviewer checks the method every other year and we publish the workings so anyone can argue with us properly.

How do we make our barley drinks?

Our barley base is just barley and water. But it is what we do with that barley and that water that makes a Hullo! taste the way it does.
