Out today: our third annual study of how independent makers are paid. Two thousand four hundred and eleven respondents told us where the money actually lands, which formats are growing, and how much of a working week now goes to editing rather than shooting. Licensing income rose for 61.4 per cent of them, and roughly a third now earn more from short-form work than from client commissions. The full read runs about twenty minutes.
