Setting up your workspace

Glad you are here. This walkthrough covers the handful of decisions worth making in your first week so the rest of the platform behaves the way your team expects. Start at the top and work down — each step takes a few minutes.

Before you begin

Run through this short checklist so nothing stalls halfway through setup.

  1. Confirm who owns the workspace.
  2. Check which tier you are on.
  3. Review your billing preferences.
  4. See which channels Glasshollow supports.

Confirm who owns the workspace

Several administrative controls are reserved for the workspace owner. Either hold that role yourself or ask the current owner to grant you the matching permission set. The owner’s name is printed at the top of the Preferences panel.

To hand ownership to someone else, follow the transfer steps in this walkthrough.

Check which tier you are on

Your tier decides which features appear in the sidebar. Open Preferences > Workspace details, then choose Plan & invoices. If that page is hidden from you, ask your onboarding lead for access. It is worth reading the tier breakdown below so the whole team knows what is included:

Review your billing preferences

Keep more than one person able to reach the billing screen. If an invoice fails and only one teammate can act on it, the workspace can drop into a restricted state overnight. Name a second billing contact under Plan & invoices while you are in there.

Adding a fallback payment method is the other habit worth forming, so a single declined charge never locks anyone out. There is more detail in the billing questions article.

See which channels Glasshollow supports

Connect the accounts you actually publish from as early as you can — history only starts filling in from the moment a channel is linked. The current list of networks, storefronts and messaging services lives in the channel directory.

For the connection flow itself, read the linking guide.
