Create branches

There are two ways to start a branch in your workspace.

Head to the version picker, pick a version, and spin up a working copy.

Editing a page? Skip the regular Save and choose Save to Branch instead.

Once your branch exists you can start writing. Changes stay private until you merge the branch into a public version.

Switching between branches

Switch at any time from the version picker in the top-left of the editor. Your draft is saved before you move.

Highlight a passage and edit with inline AI

Select text, type an instruction, and Inline AI rewrites, shortens, expands, or repairs it without you ever leaving the editor.

How does Ask Verso generate answers?

Ask Verso reads your published pages at request time and answers only from that content. Every response cites the page it came from, and when the answer genuinely isn't in your docs it says so instead of guessing.

Can I control what the AI is allowed to say?

Yes. Pick the model, set the tone, restrict which spaces it may read, and add a blocklist of terms it must never produce. Guardrails apply to every surface, including the CLI and the agent bridge.

What data does Verso AI use?

Only the pages you publish and the questions readers ask. Content stays in your tenant, is never pooled with other customers, and is never used to train a shared model.

How do I measure AI performance?

The question log records every prompt, the answer, the pages cited, and whether the reader followed the citation. Export it, or send it to your warehouse on a nightly schedule.
