Membership
Which volume does my membership begin with, and how many will come?
A Premium Membership brings four printed volumes across the year, one at the close of every quarter. Because of the way we go to press, printed memberships begin with the volume after the one on sale when you join, which means the current volume is not part of your run. If you join while Volume Thirty-One is on sale, the first to reach you will be Volume Thirty-Two. Premium and Digital Memberships open the archive at loamfield.com straight away.
What does a membership give me?
Members read each volume before anyone else: a new one reaches you the week it is finished. Premium Members have the printed edition carried to their door four times a year at a reduced postage rate. Digital Members open the whole of loamfield.com the moment they join, with nothing held back.
Does a membership renew on its own?
It does, so that nothing lapses by accident. A Premium or Digital Membership renews on the day it would otherwise end, and is set for a further year from that date. If you would rather it did not, write to hello@loamfield.com with the name and address held on the membership. That stops the payment from repeating, though the membership itself runs to the end of its term. Payments already taken are not refundable. Gift Memberships never renew on their own.
My membership has run out. How do I start it again?
If it lapsed through cancellation or a payment that did not clear, sign in and take out a fresh Premium Membership here, or a Digital Membership here. It is not possible for our team to extend or restart a membership by hand once it is no longer active.
How do I end my membership?
Write to hello@loamfield.com with the name and address held on the membership. We do not offer partial refunds, so the membership runs to the end of its term and volumes keep arriving until then.
How do I change the address you post to?
Sign in at loamfield.com and edit the address held on your account. Our team cannot redirect volumes that have already left the bindery, so it is worth correcting the details before the quarter closes. If a copy does go astray, we are glad to send a replacement for the cost of postage.
Can I follow a parcel that has gone missing?
No. Volumes travel by standard post and carry no tracking. Our team cannot confirm a delivery date beyond the window we estimate, though we can tell you roughly when a parcel left us. Write to hello@loamfield.com and we will look into it for you.
What should I do if a volume never arrives?
Write to hello@loamfield.com within a month of the date a volume was published and we will send the latest one out to you. All claims must be made within three months of the estimated delivery date; replacements asked for outside that window may carry a charge.
Store
Where do you send orders?
Everything in the store is posted from our bindery outside Ghent and travels to more than seventy countries. Duties and import charges, where they apply, are settled by the person receiving the parcel.
Can I return something I have bought?
Unopened goods may be returned within thirty days of arrival for a full refund, less the cost of return postage. Write to hello@loamfield.com before sending anything back.
Everything else
Do you take unsolicited pitches?
We read everything that reaches hello@loamfield.com, though the volume of post means a reply can take six weeks. Please send a short note rather than a finished piece.
Can I reprint something you have published?
Write to partners@loamfield.com with the volume, the page, and where the extract will appear. Permission is granted case by case and is usually free for classroom use.
