Questions
How secure is a Gildpath wallet?
Your keys are generated on the device and never leave it, so nobody here can move your balance or freeze it. Sensitive steps — signing, exporting, adding a new device — sit behind a second check with your face or fingerprint. The signing layer was reviewed by Quillmark, an independent cryptography practice.
Can I bring across a wallet I already hold?
Yes. Import an existing recovery phrase during setup and the balances appear once the first sync finishes, usually inside a minute.
Is swapping between tokens built in?
Swaps route through several liquidity venues and settle in the app. You see the quote, the route and the spread before you confirm anything.
What does the app itself charge for?
Holding, sending and receiving are free. Network fees still apply, and swaps carry a 0.28% routing charge that is shown on the quote.
When does the second phone build arrive?
A closed beta is running now with about 4,300 testers. Join the list and we will send an invite as slots free up.
Do I need to own tokens before I start?
No. Create the wallet first, look around, and fund it whenever you are ready — an empty wallet costs nothing to keep.
How do I move money in?
Transfer from another wallet or an exchange account, or buy through one of the payment partners listed under Add funds.
What exactly is Gildpath?
A self-custody wallet for phones. It stores keys, signs transactions and connects you to on-chain apps without an account or a custodian in the middle.
Which networks are supported today?
Eleven networks are live, including four rollups. New ones are added roughly every quarter and appear automatically after an update.
How do the in-app messages work?
Messages are tied to wallet addresses and encrypted end to end. Only people you have transacted with can start a thread with you.
Does it connect to on-chain apps?
It does. Open the in-app browser or scan a pairing code, and every request arrives as a plain-language prompt before you sign.
Can I pair the wallet with a site on my laptop?
Scan the pairing code shown on the site and the session stays open until you end it. Signing still happens on the phone.
What is a recovery backup?
An encrypted copy of your keys, held either in your own cloud locker or on a spare device, so a lost phone never means a lost balance.
What is the Gildpath pairing kit?
An open toolkit for builders. Drop it into a site and visitors can connect a wallet, sign in and pay in a handful of lines.
Where in the world can I download it?
The app is listed in 63 territories. A short waiting list covers the places where local rules are still being worked through.
