Questions

Any advice on keeping knits fresh?

Every piece leaves the workroom with a stitched tag written for that exact cloth. Follow it closely, keep heavier knits out of the dryer, and dry them flat on a towel. Handled that way an Alderwick jumper keeps its shape for a decade or more.

Not certain which size will fit best

Each product page lists flat measurements taken from the sample we photographed, plus the height and size worn by the model. Compare those figures against a garment you already like. If two sizes still feel plausible, write to us and we will read the numbers with you.

Will archive styles return in future?

Occasionally. Runs are cut to the length of cloth we secured, so a colour that empties is usually finished for good. A handful of core shapes are re-cut each autumn when the mill can match the yarn. Join the letter below and you will hear first.

Assembled by the Alderwick® studio, this shop and its house collection gather the things we kept making for ourselves. Drawn slowly, cut in runs of forty or fewer, finished by hand in the north workroom. Built to outlast the season it arrived in.
