Larkbend overview

What does Larkbend actually do?

Larkbend gives revenue teams one place to complete a record and follow up on it. Start from a list you already keep, or assemble one inside the workspace, then work through the three steps below.

Step 1: Complete and tidy the record

Roughly 140 data providers sit behind a single lookup, so coverage holds up on everything from work addresses to headcount bands and funding history. Teams routinely land near double the fill rate a single vendor returns, at a small share of the per-record price.

Step 2: Research with a model

Hand over the reading a rep used to do by hand — product pages, job posts, filings, PDFs and search results — and get a short, sourced answer back in the column you asked for.

Step 3: Send the follow-up

Once the record holds up, draft messages that reference what you actually found, then push the whole thing back into the CRM so a campaign idea can be live the same afternoon.

Which kinds of businesses run on Larkbend?

Anywhere a named-account motion matters: early software teams working a short list by hand, and larger operations groups keeping tens of thousands of records current.

Who on the team should own the workspace?

Usually whoever already owns routing and reporting. Reps can run tables on their own, but one owner for sources and credit limits keeps the bill predictable.

Which tools does it take off our stack?

Most teams retire two or three per-seat data subscriptions and a spreadsheet of manual research, and keep their CRM and inbox exactly where they are.

What can I build in the first week?

A scored inbound queue, a lookalike list off your closed-won accounts, and a weekly job that refreshes titles and headcount before the pipeline review.

What changes about the way we work today?

The research step stops being a person's afternoon. Lists arrive already enriched and scored, so the team spends its hours on conversations rather than on tab-hopping.

How does this hold up as inbox limits tighten?

Smaller, better-qualified sends are the whole point. Tighter volume rules reward teams that can tell which 60 accounts are worth writing to this week.

Why has nobody built this before now?

Pay-per-record access to a wide provider pool is recent, and cheap model calls are more recent still. Both had to land before this was affordable to run at list scale.

What does it cost to run each month?

Seats are flat and credits are metered. A two-person team usually settles around 12,000 credits a month; you can cap spend per workspace so nothing runs away.

How does it change an account executive's day?

They open a queue that is already ranked, with a two-line reason attached to every account, instead of building the queue themselves before lunch.

Building target lists

Do credits get spent while I assemble a list?

Filtering and previewing a list is free. Credits are drawn only when you run an enrichment or a research column against the rows you decided to keep.

Accreditation

Do you accredit whole teams or only individuals?

Both. Individual badges are earned per person, and a workspace badge is issued once four or more seats on the same plan have passed.

How often may I retake the assessment?

Three attempts per level, with a seven-day wait between them so there is time to work through the practice workspace.

Is a paid seat required to earn a badge?

No. The exercises run in a sandbox workspace that any account can open, though a paid seat is needed for the advanced track.

Do accreditations lapse after a while?

Each badge stands for 18 months. We send a refresher a month ahead, and renewing is a short delta assessment rather than the whole thing again.

Who can help if a submission or score looks wrong?

Write to the accreditation desk from the badge page. Scores are reviewed by hand within three working days and adjusted if the grader got it wrong.

Data handling

What happens to the records our team uploads?

They stay inside your workspace, are never resold, and are never folded back into a shared pool. Deleting a table removes the rows from backups within 30 days.

How do you keep third-party sources inside customer privacy terms?

Every provider is reviewed before it is listed, and each one is bound by the same processing terms we sign with you. Regional sources can be switched off per workspace to satisfy GDPR requests.

Tax and VAT

How is the tax on my invoice worked out?

From the billing address on file and the rules that apply to software subscriptions there. The rate applied is printed as its own line on every receipt.

Why did tax appear on my renewal this year?

Usually because a region began taxing digital services, or your billing address moved. Both take effect from the next renewal, never retroactively.

Where does the tax you collect end up?

It is held separately and remitted to the relevant authority on their filing schedule. None of it stays with us at any point.

What if my organisation is tax exempt?

Upload the exemption certificate or a valid registration number in billing settings. Once it clears, future invoices are issued without tax and the current one is credited.
