Questions we get a lot

Who is eligible for the Studio licence?

The Studio licence is built for independent makers and small teams scoring branded work — it excludes feature film, broadcast series and televised spots. If you need those rights, or you sit inside a large publisher (above USD four million in yearly revenue) or a group (above USD 40 million), write to our licensing desk and we will draft terms that fit.

I work on my own — which tier suits me best?

If the finished piece lives on your own channels, a portfolio reel or a client's social account, the Maker tier is enough and it stays at $11.40 a month billed yearly. The moment a client pays to place that work in front of an audience, move up to Studio — the upgrade is prorated, so you never pay twice for the same month.

Does the Studio licence cover paid ad spots?

Yes for online placements — paid social, in-stream video, display and podcast reads all sit inside Studio, with no cap on spend or impressions. Out-of-home, cinema pre-rolls and national broadcast buys need the Enterprise agreement instead, which our licensing desk can turn around in about a week.
