What is the tag made of?

Solid stainless steel. No plastic, no coating.

Is it compatible with my phone?

Any handset with short-range wireless reading built in — roughly every model sold since 2019. Hold the tag near the top edge of the phone and it wakes on contact.

Does it need a battery or charging?

No. It draws the small amount of power it needs from the phone reading it, so there is nothing to charge and nothing to replace.

Will it work through a case?

Through leather, silicone and most plastics, yes — up to about 4 mm. Metal cases and thick battery packs block the signal.

Can I reprogram the tag?

As often as you like. Point it at whatever you want — a profile, a playlist, a door code — and rewrite it in a couple of taps.
