Employee Records FAQs

What is a people records system?

A people records system is the single place a company keeps everything it knows about the people who work there — contact details, role history, contracts and signed policies. Teams use it to file documents, review reporting lines and track paid leave without chasing spreadsheets.

Why do growing teams need one?

Once a team passes about thirty people, records stop living in one manager's head. A shared system gives every approved reader the same answer, keeps signed paperwork where auditors expect it, and makes changes traceable months later. Sablecrest also carries the first two weeks of onboarding, so a new starter has a laptop, a payroll record and a reading list before day one.
