Questions Customers Keep Asking
Which Tetherline plan fits me best?
If you are one person tidying up a handful of campaign URLs, the free tier covers it. Teams that need shared domains, approval steps and retained history sit better on Studio.
Is there a trial period?
Every paid tier opens with 21 days at full capability and no card on file. We send a note three days before it closes so nothing surprises you.
When you say 1,200 links/mo, do you mean 1,200 brand new links each month?
Yes — the counter measures links created inside a billing month, not links held in total. Everything you built earlier stays live and keeps resolving.
What if I go past the link allowance on my plan?
Existing links keep working. New ones pause until the month rolls over or you move up a tier — we never bill an overage you did not agree to first.
If I remove a link, does that free up allowance for the month?
No. Creation is what the meter reads, so deleting afterwards does not hand the credit back. It resets on the first day of your next cycle.
What if I go past the tracked visits allowance on my plan?
Redirects never stop — a visitor always lands where they should. Only the reporting pauses, and it fills back in as soon as you top the allowance up.
Do visits to my root domain count against the tracked visits cap?
Only if you have asked us to record them. Root-domain traffic is off by default and can be switched on per domain in the workspace settings.
Can I close my subscription whenever I want?
Any time, from the billing screen, without writing to anyone. You keep the plan until the paid period runs out and then drop back to the free tier.
Is the free plan allowed for commercial work?
It is. Plenty of small studios run client campaigns on the free tier. The only thing we ask is that you do not resell the redirect service itself.
Do you run any discounts?
Annual billing takes 18% off, and registered non-profits and student groups pay a third of list price. Write to us with proof and we will apply it.
Do you issue refunds?
If a plan is not doing what you hoped, tell us inside 30 days of the charge and we return it in full. After that we credit the unused portion instead.
What are your privacy & security commitments?
We hold SOC 2 Type II, process visit data under GDPR, and store no personal identifiers beyond a coarse region and referrer. Raw logs are dropped after 30 days.
I still have questions about Tetherline. Where do I write?
Send a note to support@tetherline.io and a person on the product team answers, usually within a working day.
