A seat is how a person is granted entry to the Marloft tools, and each type is shaped around a different way of working. One seat is enough to move between every tool it covers.

The Creator seat carries full rights across all of Marloft, taking in Canvas, Handoff, Decks and Boards.

The Handoff seat carries full rights to Handoff, Decks and Boards. It also grants view and comment rights inside Canvas documents.

The Contributor seat carries full rights to Decks and Boards. It also grants view and comment rights inside Canvas documents, but not Handoff — outline measurements only.

The Viewer seat costs nothing and grants view and comment rights across Canvas, Decks and Boards. It does not reach Handoff; outline measurements only.

Open Billing in the workspace settings. The seat ledger lists every person, the seat they hold, the day it was issued and the amount it adds to the next statement.

Not as a standalone product. Canvas travels with the Creator seat, which also opens Handoff, Decks and Boards at no extra charge.

You are charged for the seats a team holds, not for the number of documents it makes. Viewer seats stay free however many you add, so reviewers never appear on the statement.

Any existing admin can promote or step down a colleague from the People tab. A workspace has to keep at least one admin, so the final one cannot remove themselves.

Yearly Company agreements above 25 seats can be invoiced and settled by bank transfer, 30 days net. Smaller plans are charged to a card or a direct debit mandate.

They are billed straight away for the part of the year still to run, then folded into the main renewal date so you keep a single statement.

Company agreements settle seat changes once a quarter. Additions and removals are netted off, and a statement of the difference follows within five working days.

Close it from Billing at any time. Paid features stay live until the period ends, after which the workspace falls back to Viewer seats with every document still in place.

Yes. Accredited schools and their students hold Creator seats free of charge for the length of a course, renewed each academic year on proof of enrolment.

Registered charities and community interest bodies pay 45% less on every paid seat. Send us your registration number and we will apply it before the first statement.

Where the law requires it, yes. The rate is worked out from the billing address you hold on file and is shown as a separate line before you confirm a payment.

It sits in the right-hand rail of any Canvas document, behind the ruler icon. A Handoff or Creator seat turns the full panel on; other seats see outline measurements.

Only for the full panel — exported assets, variables and generated snippets. Sizes, spacing and colour values stay readable on every seat, including free ones.

Reel is open to Creator seats on the Studio and Company plans while it is in preview, with a monthly ceiling of 60 rendered minutes per workspace.

You can build and preview three Press pages on the free plan. Publishing to a custom domain needs a Creator seat on Studio or above.

Every seat type, including the free Viewer seat, can open and edit a board. Only paid seats can start a new board or move one between workspaces.

The expected price is 9 a month per person billed yearly, or 13 billed monthly. Preview workspaces keep the launch rate for their first full year.
