Hey, what do you think changes most about mobile apps by 2030?
Looking out to 2030, most of the shift lands in places people never actually see. The phone gets quieter, and a lot of the work slides off the glass and into the background. Three big ones:
Ambient handoff — a task you begin on a watch keeps going on the laptop, with nothing exported, emailed or re-typed in between
On-device models — the heavy lifting runs on the handset itself, so drafts, edits and dictation never have to leave the phone
Quiet notifications — far fewer badges, and digests that land only when you have asked for them
