What does this policy cover

Galanthe is the web and mobile service of Galanthe Design Ltd (“Galanthe,” “we,” or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how Galanthe and the companies it controls collect, use, disclose, and look after information that relates to our visual publishing platform (the “Service”), including the editor, our template library, our print orders, and the sites and apps that link to this page.

In short: this policy applies whenever you use Galanthe — on the web, in our apps, or when you order something printed. Separate terms cover our marketplace contributors and our education customers.

Some products carry their own additional terms, listed under Other policies. Where an additional term conflicts with this policy, the additional term wins for that product only. If you use Galanthe through an organisation that holds a team subscription, that organisation’s administrators may also govern parts of your account.

What information do we collect

We collect three broad categories of information: what you give us, what your device tells us, and what we receive from partners who help us run the Service.

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, the designs and files you upload, billing details for paid plans, and anything you write to our support team.
• Information collected automatically. Device type, browser, approximate location derived from your IP address, the pages you open, and how long an editing session lasts.
• Information from third parties. If you sign in with a partner account, we receive the identifier and email that partner shares with us — never your password.

In short: we collect what you type in, what your device reports while you work, and the small amount a sign-in partner passes to us. We do not buy contact lists.

How we use your information

We use the information above to run and improve the Service: to save your work, to sync a document across devices, to bill a subscription, to suggest templates that fit what you are making, to detect fraud and abuse, and to answer you when you contact support.

Legal bases

Where regional law requires one, our legal basis is contract performance for anything needed to deliver the Service, legitimate interests for security and product research, consent for optional marketing messages, and legal obligation for tax and accounting records. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.

Retention

Designs stay in your account until you delete them. Deleted designs sit in the bin for 34 days, then leave our active systems; encrypted backups age out on a rolling 92-day cycle. Billing records are kept for 7 years because tax law requires it.

Your choices and rights

You can review, correct, export, or delete most of the information we hold about you directly from account settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to certain processing, to ask us to restrict it, or to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

• Export. Download a copy of your designs and account record from Settings → Data & privacy. Exports are usually ready in under 20 minutes.
• Marketing. Turn off product emails from the same screen, or use the unsubscribe link on any message. We will still send service notices, such as a billing failure.
• Tracking. Manage analytics and advertising cookies from our cookie panel. We honour a Global Privacy Control signal sent by your browser.

In short: you can see, export, correct, or delete your information from account settings, and you can turn marketing off without losing access to anything.
