Trouble signing in

I can’t remember the handle I signed up with.

  • Use the email address and password on the account to sign in to Milvory.
    • If the password is refused, request a new one by entering that email address on the reset screen.
    • If we cannot find the address you typed, it is probably not the one on the account. Keep reading.

I can’t remember the email address on my account.

  • Use your handle and password to sign in to Milvory.
    • If that does not work, open the account lookup form and enter every handle, email address and phone number you might have used. Then check each inbox — we send the reset link to whichever one matches.

I can’t remember the phone number on my account.

  • If a reset asks you to confirm a mobile number and you cannot remember which one you added, enter your handle or the account email address instead.

I think someone else has my account.

I no longer have access to the email address I signed up with

  1. If the Milvory app is still signed in on a phone or tablet, open it and change the address under Settings › Account › Contact details. Here is how to update your email address.
  2. If you are signed out everywhere, try signing in on the web with your handle and password. As soon as you are in, update the address in account settings.
  3. If a mobile number is on the account, you can receive the reset code by text message instead.
  4. If the password is gone as well as the inbox, and no number is on file, open a support request and we will try to verify you another way.

I asked for a reset link and it never arrived in my inbox

  1. Check the junk and spam folders first. Smaller mail hosts filter our reset mail more often than the large ones do.
  2. Note which address you typed on the reset screen. That is the inbox the link goes to, and it is not always the one you are watching.
  3. Links expire after 60 minutes. If the message is older than that, ask for a fresh one rather than reusing it.
  4. Still nothing after 20 minutes and a second attempt? File a support request and include the address you used.

The reset emails arrive but I still cannot sign in

  1. Open the link again from the message itself. Copying it by hand usually drags a stray space into the address bar and the link fails silently.
  2. Try a second browser. An extension that blocks scripts will stop the reset screen from submitting.
  3. Allow cookies for the sign-in page. Clearing the cache before you save the new password helps too.
  4. Still stuck? File a support request.

I get a “Temporarily locked” message when I sign in.

Locks clear on their own, usually inside an hour. Requesting more resets while you wait extends the lock rather than lifting it.

I just created an account and cannot sign in yet.

  • Confirm the sign-up finished. Look for the welcome message we send the moment an account is created.
    • If there is no welcome message, the account was probably never created — start a new sign-up.
    • If the account exists but will not accept your password, request a new one and check the junk folder for the reset mail.
