Terms & Conditions
Introduction
These terms are subject to change and Inkstead will inform you of the updates each time your acceptance of them is required. Please make sure to read the below in its entirety.
Payment
Most major credit and debit cards are accepted, as are balances held with Perrid Pay. Inkstead uses Ostvane Payment Services and Corveldt Credit to settle card payments. Card details are transferred over a connection secured with 256-bit TLS, and we guarantee that the process is safe. If no money has reached our account within 20 days, the order will be terminated. All goods remain the property of Inkstead until paid for in full.
Prices for countries that are part of the European Union include Dutch VAT as required by law. Orders shipped outside the European Union do not have any sales tax added.
For us to be able to process card payments, please note that your card needs to be enrolled in 3-D Secure with the bank that issued it.
Shipping
Direct orders are normally shipped the same business day we receive the payment, given we receive the payment before 14:00 CET. If the payment is received during a public holiday we will try to ship the order the first business day after the holiday. With online card payment, the transaction is instant. We reserve the right to delay shipments a few days due to unexpected inconveniences, unexpected stock shortages, or heavy workload. If the order contains pre-order items, the order will be shipped when all items are in stock.
We ship all orders using Corveldt Express. This gives us the quickest and safest possible delivery. Shipping within Europe is 2–4 business days, to North America 3–6 business days, and to the rest of the world generally between 4–9 business days. When the order is shipped we will send you the tracking number by e-mail. It is also possible to log in to your customer account to find the tracking number.
The tax authorities of countries outside the EU sometimes add sales or import tax. If you are unsure of the regulations for your country, please check with the relevant public authority. We write the following customs commodity code on our press shipments: 8443192000.
For orders from the USA, all import taxes and duties are included in the price. No extra taxes should be charged by the US tax authorities.
Warranty
Inkstead presses bought 2019-04-11 and later come with a three-year limited warranty, starting from the date of the original purchase. Being able to prove the date of the original purchase with an invoice or a receipt is necessary if you require warranty service.
If the press should need repair during the warranty period no charges will be applied for parts or labour. This warranty is transferable to other owners should the press be resold during the warranty period. Consumables such as blankets, felts, inks and packing sheets are not covered by this warranty.
Warranty disclaimer
Inkstead’s warranty for products and, if applicable, software, as described in the End User Licence Agreement (the licence covers Inkstead firmware and software that is installed on the product), shall not apply if the product (i) has been altered, opened, repaired or attempted to be repaired or reversed engineered in any way, except by Inkstead or an authorised representative or repair centre of Inkstead, (ii) has not been installed, operated, repaired or maintained in accordance with our recommendations, or (iii) on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed.
Furthermore, the warranty does not cover damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from any shipment of the product other than the one presented to the carrier, normal wear and tear of rollers and bearings, or failure to comply with the periodic maintenance printed in the user manual.
Warranty service for presses bought from a stockist
First, please contact the support channel of the stockist you bought from. They will then guide you on how to proceed with your case. Note that the Inkstead three-year limited warranty is in addition to any warranty your stockist may offer.
Warranty service for presses bought from the Inkstead shop
Contact Inkstead Support if you need warranty service. You cannot send a unit to a certified repair centre unless agreed to by Inkstead. The customer is responsible for shipping charges if the press needs to be sent to a certified repair centre for warranty service. Inkstead covers the return shipping to the customer during the warranty period.
End user licence agreement
The End User Licence Agreement which covers all Inkstead firmware and desktop software can be reached at inkstead.studio/licence.
Return policy
Inkstead offers a 21-day money-back guarantee for all physical items sold directly by us. The 21 days are counted from the arrival of the item. The item has to be in “as new” condition for us to accept refunding, and you cannot return an item without contacting Inkstead Support first. The customer covers the shipping back to Inkstead. A copy of the original invoice or receipt must be supplied along with the item. Any refund is transferred once we have received and inspected the returned item. For digital goods, such as plate files and ink recipes, refunds cannot be issued.
Cancellation policy
Paid orders can be cancelled and refunded if the order has not been shipped. If the order has been shipped the return policy applies.
Privacy policy
Inkstead complies with the EU-wide General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We store the bare minimum of personal data needed to fulfil our duties to our customers, such as handling orders, support, and service of products. We encourage you to read and digest the Inkstead privacy policy in its entirety.
