Harbor & Co is a fully distributed studio. Our strategists, designers, and engineers collaborate from four continents, and that spread of perspective shows up in everything we ship.
We partner with founders and product teams at growing companies to design and build calm, useful digital experiences — from the first rough prototype to the full platform.
If you want a studio that treats remote work as a craft rather than a compromise, you'll feel at home here. We hire for curiosity, generosity, and follow-through — quiet excellence over loud opinions.
Think you'd fit in? We'd love to meet you. If none of these roles match, you can still send us a note with a few links, your experience, and what you'd want to build together.
A feel for how we work at Harbor & Co.
Software has grown noisy, and people feel it. We started Harbor & Co to make digital products that respect attention — tools that feel considered, calm, and genuinely helpful to the humans on the other side of the screen.
Prototypes beat opinions. We put rough work in front of real users early, keep what survives contact, and improve the rest. Everyone here builds, tests, and learns in the open — with room to be wrong on the way to being right.
Our clients work in health, education, logistics, and climate — the unglamorous industries that quietly run the world. If solving real problems for real people motivates you more than chasing trends, you'll do your best work here.
We keep the hierarchy flat on purpose. Decisions are argued in writing, in the open, and the best idea wins regardless of title. Expect to be asked what you think — and expect us to act on it.
Trust is the default here: we plan around outcomes, not hours online. Flexible schedules and a vacation policy we insist you use mean the life around your work stays yours.
A glimpse at the people behind the work, wherever they log in from.
Remote isn't a perk we bolted on — it's how the studio was founded. Our teams are scattered from Lisbon to Manila and gather around a small home base in Porto. It works because we hire slowly, and only bring on people who already share the way we work and the standards we hold.
A distributed team runs on clarity. Decisions live in documents, not hallways: written daily stand-ups, monthly one-on-ones, open design and engineering reviews, and a full-studio call each month where we talk about everything except the work.
Hiring without borders means finding the best person for the job, wherever they happen to live. The studio currently spans fourteen nationalities working side by side, and that range of lived experience makes the work measurably sharper.
Flexible hours, a strict forty-hour ceiling, national holidays wherever you are, and vacation we insist you actually take. Rested people do braver work — and our clients feel the difference in every release.

We're a small international studio with a global bench, open to talent from every background and every time zone.
Human-centred design is the whole practice here — we depend on the varied perspectives and life experiences of our team to build products that work for the many, not the few.
