Theo Vincent Ashbourne
Background
Fifteen years of product and craft leadership across three continents taught me to turn tangled problems into calm, legible systems. I came up through workshops and night classes rather than a studio pedigree, which left me with a stubbornly practical view of what a design decision is actually worth. Building alongside teams in Lisbon, Austin and Bengaluru gave me a working feel for how craft standards travel between markets.
These days that experience goes into opening up professional training through Aurelo, where we treat a career as something you rehearse rather than something you read about. What sets the work apart is the mix of studio judgement and measurable practice: every track closes with a piece of work a hiring team can inspect line by line.
Outside the platform I mentor four designers a year through the Ashbourne open programme, and I keep a public log of the exercises that did not work — usually a more useful read than the ones that did.
