Raised in a harbour parish where the tower bells marked out the working day, Teodor Bramme sat down at a battered upright when he was six and never really got up again. Cello, glockenspiel and a borrowed double bass followed during his years in the school ensemble. A move inland took him to the Fjordside Academy, where he began writing for small string groups.
Move through half-lit rooms and open water with Ashenpeal Drift. The writing stays patient and close to the ground, tracing the quiet corners of a map and the small, ordinary sounds that live in them.
