The Case for Rooftop Gardens
Priya had a flat roof that trapped heat and made her top-floor study feel airless. Her neighbours agreed and replaced the bare deck with a planted garden. It took a few weeks for Priya to learn how to properly water the beds through a dry spell, but once she got that under control, it kept the terrace green and cool. Priya found it so easy to work up there through August that she felt she could never go back to a bare roof again.
