Small groups working through real creative and organisational questions.
Three days for the people building culture between categories
About the assembly
An intimate gathering for independent publishers, curators, designers, founders, artists, and the communities growing around their work.
Across three days we examine how niche communities form, how attention becomes trust, and how thoughtful collaboration can produce work with real staying power.
Expect candid sessions, useful workshops, shared meals, screenings, and conversations that continue well beyond the programme. The room is deliberately cross-disciplinary.
Format, not formula
Every part of the programme is designed for participation rather than passive attendance.
Small groups working through real creative and organisational questions.
New work presented with the context, doubts, and decisions behind it.
Hosted dinners built around one provocative question and no stage.
Short showcases from young makers who deserve a wider field of view.
A generous space for prototypes, work in progress, and sharp feedback.
Music, quick prompts, and collaborative experiments across the city.
People make the room
A deliberately mixed group of people making, commissioning, publishing, funding, and sharing independent culture.
Main venue
A converted makers’ hall with sunlit galleries, a courtyard kitchen, small screening rooms, and enough corners for the conversations between sessions.
Plan your visitOne ticket, the whole assembly
Access to all sessions, shared lunches, the closing celebration, and a digital field guide made after the gathering.
