Brush pen on toned paper · 2 hours

Three drafts in, I stopped chasing an even baseline and started letting the phrase breathe. The descenders on “mornings” took the longest — I redrew that g eleven times before the loop stopped fighting the word above it.

Paper is 118gsm toned stock, ink is a warm off-white gouache thinned about 20%. Guides were pencilled at a 7° slant and erased after everything dried.
