Macro view of a silvered chronograph dial with applied Roman numerals — photo by Mat Brown on Pexels
The subdials, photographed on a grey Tuesday in Lisbon.

My grandfather bought it in 1971 with the first cheque he ever cashed, and it sat in a drawer for thirty of the years since. I wear it three days a week now, mostly on a faded olive strap.

Until I get a better picture to post, this one is all about the small details — the way the silvered dial has gone faintly warm under the crystal, the chamfer that someone polished a little too hard in 1988. Golden age of quiet complications, worn on a Tuesday.
