Trouble scanning?

A few things that help the camera read your licence on the first try.

• Even out the light

  Avoid harsh glare and dim corners — a room with soft, even light reads best.

• Keep the phone still

  Take a beat and hold steady so the capture lands sharp, with no blur or streaking.

• Set it on a dark surface

  Strong contrast makes the edges of the card far easier to pick out.

• Fit all four corners in

  Lay the licence flat and pull back until the whole card sits inside the frame.
