  • Plain: we write for the reader who arrives mid-project, not the one who sat through the kickoff.

Marks and materials

Our visual language holds the studio together across fourteen client teams without flattening any of them:

  • Type that carries the argument instead of decorating it
  • A narrow palette β€” two greens, one paper, one ink
  • Photography shot on location, never staged in a lightbox
  • Layouts that leave room for the work to be looked at

Publishing rhythm

We publish on a cadence the studio can actually hold:

  • Process notes on Tuesdays, while the decisions are still warm
  • One long project write-up a month, with the wrong turns left in
  • Quarterly field notes for anyone who follows the craft, not the studio

Treat this document as a working reference rather than a rulebook β€” if a page argues with it and wins, edit the page and then edit this.
