TSUZUKI

Founded in 2018, Tsuzuki Inc. places specialist talent with employers across Japan. Its recruitment-process outsourcing and hiring consultancy aim to reset how the industry works, using new tools to put the right person in front of the right company.

Challenge

Tsuzuki builds hiring programmes around each client's targets. Japan's labour market keeps tightening, and the diversification of the people companies want to reach has made recruiting steadily more complex. With 58% of employers reporting that they still miss their hiring goals, many are looking for another approach.

Rin Sasabuchi, president of Tsuzuki, describes the gap plainly: candidates cannot judge a culture from a job posting, and employers cannot judge a candidate from a résumé. Successful hiring depends on closing the distance between the two.

So the team moved toward interactive video — short films that let a company show how it actually works, with questions and branches inside the clip instead of another page of text.

Business changes quickly. If the way we introduce people to a company doesn't change with it, we're the ones holding hiring back.

Solution

The search started with a platform partner that could host these videos privately and still feel unhurried to watch. Tsuzuki wanted one environment that let a job seeker browse easily at any hour, and that kept client material inside a controlled, secure account.

Multilingual support mattered too: the same story had to run in three languages without a second edit, and the privacy policy had to hold outside Japan as well as inside it.

Outcome

Cancelled interviews were the metric the team watched. Using video to set expectations ahead of the first meeting, attendance rose 19% among candidates who had watched the film. By March 2025 Tsuzuki had packaged the approach as a service of its own, sold to the companies it recruits for.

Everything can be made, managed and shared inside one subscription and one workspace. For a team our size, that is most of the decision.
