Verrow Bio

At Verrow Biosciences we build the tools for a new generation of metabolic medicine, working across protein design, machine learning, and wet-lab chemistry.

Careers

We're rewriting what's possible in metabolic health. Come build it.

We're always looking for unusual minds to join the team. If you spend your days at the edge of protein design, medicinal chemistry, machine learning, or assay development, we'd love to hear from you.

Vivarium Operations Lead Full-time

We're hiring a vivarium operations lead to join the core team and run the animal work that moves our metabolic programs forward. You'd be among the first fifteen hires at an early-stage company and make real contributions to therapies for age-related disease. The role is based at our Somerville, MA lab, with the option to spend part of each week at our Kendall Square offices. We're aiming for a March–April 2027 start.

People who have held this role at Verrow have co-authored high-impact papers during their time here and gone on to unusually strong career trajectories.

You will

  • Own execution of key in-vivo experiments across two programs
  • Maintain colonies and facilities with a responsive day-to-day rhythm
  • Communicate results clearly to a mixed audience of chemists and engineers

You may be a good fit if you have

  • A B.A. or B.S. in bioengineering, biology, chemistry, or a related field
  • Real appetite for the work of moving the needle on metabolic disease
  • Detail-oriented experience handling mice or small animals in a lab setting
  • Clean execution of planned experiments, plus the instinct to design new ones
  • The ability to learn fast as part of a fifteen-person team
  • Comfort with hands-on husbandry: cage washing, bedding changes, injections

Bonus points for

  • Four or more years of rodent handling experience
  • Breeding, immunohistology, and tissue processing experience
  • Exposure to chemical biology or early drug discovery

Come build with us

We believe model-native discovery will reshape how metabolic disease is treated. If working at the seam of synthetic biology, computation, and chemistry sounds like your kind of problem — and you want to help build something that moves the field from first principles — we'd like to talk.

Compensation & benefits

Base range of $96,400–$128,700 depending on experience, plus equity, fully covered medical and dental cover, and a yearly research budget.

Vivarium Technician Full-time

We're hiring a vivarium technician to support daily colony care and assist the operations lead on in-vivo studies. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants to learn drug discovery from the bench outward. Based in Somerville, MA.
