About This Class

There is no shortcut to lettering that looks alive on the page. This class is the introduction I wish I had — it builds your hand from the first downstroke up, using the exact drills and warm-ups I still run before every commission.

We start with the seven basic strokes, then move into letter families, spacing, and the small rhythm decisions that separate a stiff alphabet from one that breathes. You will work on layout paper with a single pointed brush.
