Bergline is built on careful reporting, and it starts with the people who do it.
Our staff are reporters, editors, photographers, engineers, designers and producers who want to build the most trusted publication in mountain sport. Bergline started in 2017 as a reader-funded weekly and now covers alpinism, ski mountaineering and trail racing across 31 regions in Europe and North America. Our editors have published more than 4,300 original features alongside a growing slate of documentary shorts and audio reporting. We are headquartered in Zurich, with newsrooms in Chamonix, Innsbruck, Bend and Golden, and our 128 staff reporters live in the ranges they cover rather than in an office. Roughly a third of the newsroom joined us from outside journalism.
