Sited on a decommissioned ferry pier in Arnøyhamn, the Kvaløya hall draws a rated 6.4 MW from eighteen seabed turbines anchored in the strait, where the tide reverses four times a day and current speeds hold above two metres per second for most of the cycle. Operators say the first quarter ran at 91.4 percent availability.
