BasaltWorks

Brand building since 2011 Naming — Identity — Packaging — Retail Chicago & Mexico City Open for 2026 briefs
Who we are

We build brands heavy enough to stay put.

Basalt Works is a brand company for consumer businesses — food, household, outdoor gear, the odd hardware store chain. We take the parts that usually get split across four vendors and keep them under one roof: name, mark, voice, pack, shelf.

Twenty-eight people, two offices, one set of files. Our shortest engagement was eleven days for a recall-driven pack rebuild. The longest is going into its seventh year.

What we do

Naming

Candidate generation, linguistic screening and the trademark legwork, run with your counsel rather than around them.

01

Identity

Marks, type, colour and photography direction, delivered as a working system with the files a printer will actually accept.

02

Packaging

Structure, artwork and the pre-press grind — from first mock-up through to press check and shelf audit.

03

Retail

Signage, fixture graphics and store layouts translated into build drawings that shopfitters can price.

04

Voice

Naming conventions, pack copy, tone rules and the editing pass that keeps forty SKUs sounding like one company.

05
Partners

Bring us the messy one.
