Gardens made from the ground that was already there.

The practice works between hydrology and horticulture: reading a site's water table before drawing a single line, then letting the planting follow what the ground can actually hold. Nine people, one workshop, a nursery in the Ardennes.

Commissions run from private walled gardens to public riverbanks. Each is documented over a full growing cycle — the photographs above were taken fourteen months apart on the same bank.
