What we make

Image direction
We set the visual grammar for a brand — light, surface, framing, cadence — then write it down so every photographer and animator after us stays on key.

CGI & product film
Physically-lit renders and short-form film built from the same asset set, so a hero still and a 20-second cut are never two different objects.

Studio photography
Tabletop, still life and interior work shot in our Kreuzberg space, with an in-house set builder for props that don't exist yet.

Asset systems
Crop rules, naming, ratios and delivery kits — the unglamorous layer that keeps a launch consistent across 30 placements and four markets.
The studio
Nine people, one room, and a strong opinion about light.
vellumworks was founded in Berlin in 2016 by a photographer and a set designer who kept getting hired for the same jobs. We stayed small on purpose: the people who pitch the work are the people who make it.
Most engagements run six to fourteen weeks, from first mood cut to delivered master files. We take on roughly eleven projects a year and turn down more than that.
