For years, our founders helped Nordic companies untangle handoffs between people, tools, and departments. Each engagement began the same way: a new project, a new spreadsheet, and another round of interviews to learn how the work really moved.
The useful answers existed, but in fragments. A decision lived with one team, a workaround with another, and the reason behind both was often buried in a chat thread. By the time the picture was assembled, it was already going stale.
They kept returning to one question: could the process itself become a shared, living place rather than a document handed over at the end?
2019 · The beginning
A clearer way to see the work.
Maren, Olav, and Idris began by interviewing operators in public services, manufacturing, and fast-growing teams. They saw the same pattern everywhere: workshops helped people align, yet the maps produced there were too technical for the colleagues expected to maintain them.
Flowmark started as a light, visual notebook for capturing the steps, owners, evidence, and open questions around a workflow. A teammate could begin without training and still leave behind something precise enough to act on.
“The people closest to the work should be able to improve it together.”
That principle still guides the product. We believe clarity is a team habit, not a consulting deliverable, and the best system is one people return to because it helps them think.
Today · The company
Building with the people who use it.
The first prototype travelled from weekly design critiques into operations meetings across Norway. By the following winter, a small group of customers were mapping onboarding, procurement, and field service in Flowmark every day.
Our team now spans product design, engineering, and customer practice. We work in small groups, write down the reason behind decisions, and keep a steady cadence of conversations with the people whose processes we support.
