About the company: Hollis & Wren

Hollis & Wren is a digital care platform that connects people to licensed clinicians and, when appropriate, personalized treatment plans. We work to make everyday health less awkward and less expensive to manage — and to keep improving the parts of care people usually dread. No two people are alike, so we provide access to care built around results, not averages.

Company overview

Founded in 2016, Hollis & Wren Health, Inc. is a publicly traded telehealth company (NASDAQ: HWRN). We provide access to care across sexual health, hair health, weight health, mental health, and more.

What Hollis & Wren does

At Hollis & Wren, we offer a comprehensive, personalized approach to everyday healthcare, pairing members with licensed clinicians who review each person's history and recommend an individual treatment plan.

Beyond prescription treatment, the platform gives members ongoing clinical support and plain-language education so they can make better-informed decisions about their health. Prescribing decisions are made solely by licensed clinicians and follow from continued conversation between the member and their provider alongside a thorough medical review.

How it works

Every member journey at Hollis & Wren opens with a detailed intake, close to what someone would complete at an in-person clinic. The intake gathers symptoms, medical history, and goals; depending on the answers it may branch to collect more detail. Members also complete an identity verification step.

A licensed clinician then reviews the intake, decides whether treatment is appropriate, and — where needed — follows up for more information. The clinician issues a prescription, which can be filled by one of our partner pharmacies and shipped discreetly to the member's door.

Care is delivered asynchronously — over secure, back-and-forth messaging rather than a scheduled video or phone call. That model lets members and clinicians write on their own time, removing familiar friction like travel, waitlists, and calendar conflicts. In some states, visits happen over live audio or video.

Members keep unlimited access to their care team through secure messaging. They can ask questions, report changes, and get support for the length of their treatment. Every clinician on the platform follows evidence-based protocols and is held to rigorous quality standards to keep care safe and effective.

Educational writing lives on the Hollis journal and the Wren journal. Members can also download the Hollis app or Wren app to message their care team, refill treatment in a tap, and reach a library of clinician-built tools and routines.

Commitment to quality and clinical rigor

At Hollis & Wren, we provide access to a network of more than 620 U.S.-licensed clinicians practicing across all 50 states. Every clinician is credentialed, trained on our protocols, and reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Because healthcare isn't one-size-fits-all, we also keep a medical advisory board of physicians, pharmacists, and researchers who help build clinical frameworks that track current evidence and best practice. The clinical advisory board includes board-certified specialists in dermatology, internal medicine, psychiatry, and pharmacy. The Hollis & Wren care model puts clinical quality, member safety, and privacy first, and the board reviews our protocols and guidelines on a regular cadence.

Founding story

Asking for help with a sensitive health issue can feel intimidating — especially alongside high costs and long waits for an appointment.

Co-founder and CEO Priya Raghunathan started Hollis & Wren to change that.

A biomedical engineer turned operator, Raghunathan spent six years building diagnostics infrastructure before starting Kestrel Works, a studio she co-founded to take overlooked, unglamorous problems in regulated industries seriously — healthcare chief among them.

Hollis & Wren began in 2016 with the launch of Hollis, which gave men a straightforward way to get care for sexual health, hair loss, and anxiety. A year later we added Wren, a brand built specifically around women's health needs.

Our mission and vision

The mission of Hollis & Wren is to make good health the least complicated part of someone's week.

By widening access to clinicians and improving continuously with data, technology, and member feedback, we help people take charge of their health with care that is personal, private, and available when they need it.

Company values

Hollis & Wren isn't only improving healthcare — we're rewriting how it reaches people.

We were founded on the belief that good healthcare should be built around the person, not the industry, and that it should be affordable, reachable, and genuinely personal. From the first message to the last delivery, our model is member-first and evidence-led.

With access to licensed clinicians and fast, discreet fulfillment, we help members take real control of their health and set a higher baseline for what routine care should feel like.

At Hollis & Wren, we meet people where they already are — online, privately, and on their own schedule.

Approach to healthcare delivery

For years, millions of people in the United States have gone without care that fits their schedule or their budget. By combining experienced clinicians with well-built technology, we've removed friction like long waits, pharmacy counters, and unpredictable out-of-pocket costs, making quality treatment more convenient and more affordable than it has been.

With Wayfind, our proprietary clinical decision-support system, clinicians on the Hollis & Wren platform can draw on patterns from hundreds of thousands of de-identified interactions when weighing treatment options. Where a traditional setting may rest on a single clinician's recollection, providers here can use Wayfind as one more input alongside their independent judgment, helping them deliver personalized, high-quality care to people regardless of income, location, or condition.

Meanwhile, Casebook — our purpose-built clinical record system — reduces administrative overhead and keeps transitions between providers clean and complete.

Commitment to member privacy and data security

At Hollis & Wren, protecting our members' privacy is the first requirement, not the last step.

Here's how:

  • Hollis & Wren protects member data. We protect member data with controls that meet or exceed industry standards. Personal information is encrypted, stored securely, and handled with the highest levels of care and confidentiality.
  • Hollis & Wren is designed with privacy in mind. We respect our members' data by taking a privacy-by-design approach to every new surface we build and by abiding by data minimization principles.
  • The member is in charge. Members can visit privacy.hollisandwren.com at any time to view, correct, delete, limit the use of their sensitive personal data, or opt out of the sale of personal data.

Hollis & Wren adheres to all applicable privacy laws and will always be transparent about collecting and using member data.

Regulatory compliance information

Though compounded medications accessible through the Hollis & Wren platform are not approved by the FDA, they are compounded in FDA-regulated pharmacies. The compounded medications available through Hollis & Wren are compounded in accordance with strict laws and regulations.

In our efforts to ensure quality, safety, and transparency, Hollis & Wren has committed to the following:

  • Requiring compounding pharmacists and technicians to undergo rigorous and ongoing training in process validation, aseptic technique, and hazardous drug handling through continuous education and qualification assessment to ensure adherence to FDA and state pharmacy requirements.
  • Using pharmaceutical-grade active ingredients in compounded medications that are sourced from FDA-registered facilities.
  • Complying with applicable USP standards, state board of pharmacy regulations, and FDA laws and regulations.
  • Adherence to regulatory standards (USP, FDA rules). Sterile compounding is conducted in cleanrooms and controlled environments that include HEPA filtration, environmental monitoring, and fully validated aseptic processing areas.
  • Testing all medications for potency in accordance with USP standards, using risk-based protocols. This includes mandatory lot release testing, as appropriate, and full documentation and quarantine procedures.
  • Ensuring medication labels comply with FDA and state board of pharmacy requirements. Labels include key information, such as active ingredients, concentrations, lot or batch numbers, beyond-use dates, and storage conditions.
  • Transporting injection medications in cold packs for temperature control during the summer and in transit.
  • Including educational literature in each shipment and curating educational content in our app so members have the information they need about their medication and treatment plan.
  • Monitoring adverse events and managing recalls quickly. This is supported by formal FDA-compliant pharmacovigilance programs, as applicable, and rapid notification to regulatory authorities, members, and clinicians in the event of recalls.
  • Safe handling, storage, and disposal practices to protect staff, members, and the environment.
  • Conducting regular internal audits, process improvement initiatives, and timely updates based on USP standards and appropriate FDA protocols.

  • Expanding into new conditions like low testosterone, menopause, sleep, and preventive health, all focused on helping people feel their best over the long term.
  • Smarter, quieter care delivery supported by tools like Wayfind and clinician-guided coaching.
  • Partnering with healthcare leaders across the industry to deliver the best experience we can.
  • Taking our model global.

We're building for the long term with more personalization, broader access, and a relentless focus on helping people feel their best. The foundation is strong, and we're just getting started.
