Fewer things, done properly
We built Blunt Object to do the work that moves something. Not the most work. When we take a project on, we take all of it on.
Blunt Object
Safe is cheap. Most brands take the shortest route, get sanded flat by committee, and end up as furniture. Nobody remembers furniture.
We don't make furniture. Since 2009 we've helped our partners use brand to pick a fight, plant a flag and hold the line. It costs more nerve than it does money. The work argues for itself.

We built Blunt Object to do the work that moves something. Not the most work. When we take a project on, we take all of it on.

Nothing interesting happens in the middle. We'll push, and we'll argue. Then we'll build the thing with you, not at you.

Our work isn't for the awards shelf. We make brands that survive contact with the market, and shift the figures that matter.
How the work actually goes
Strategy that's worth anything requires sacrifice, clarity and a decision someone can be wrong about. Whether you're a listed brand team or a founder with eleven months of runway, we help you land a position the business can actually stand behind.
Our identity work is known for three things: it starts from an idea, it looks like nobody else, and it holds together at scale. Systems for brands, products and campaigns. Rebrands and refreshes. Drawn by hand, sharpened by machine. Never average.
What happens in the real world is the only test that counts. We build alongside your in-house teams and partners — across digital systems, retail and physical space, packaging, everyday comms and the campaigns people remember.
Brand is a long game, but it shouldn't take a decade to feel it. Our work is built to pay back from the first quarter — commercial, practical, and still full of somewhere left to go.
The reputation took sixteen years and a great many uncomfortable meetings. It's built on partnerships with clients who already knew what different costs.
The studio is small on purpose. Twenty-two people, eleven passports, one shared allergy to the obvious answer. No hierarchy worth mentioning and no shortage of nerve.
