Put 250 watts in and the chainline gives back all but 2.1 of them — an oversized ceramic jockey set and a chain waxed before it ever leaves the workshop.

62 mm deep, calm at 15° of yaw

The rim profile was drawn for crosswind days, not brochure days. Blunt trailing edge, 28 mm measured width, and a wheel that stays honest when the gusts aren't.

Three decisions
you can feel

A1

Layup — 31 plies, oriented to load

High-modulus fibre follows the pedalling load path; the top tube keeps enough flex to take the sting out of chip-seal.

A2

Aero — truncated foils, real yaw

Tube sections were frozen only after tunnel runs at the angles wind actually arrives from — not the ones that photograph well.

A3

Cockpit — zero exposed cable

Hoses run through the headset and out of the wind. Swapping a stem takes twenty minutes, not an afternoon.
